An integrated experience that is designed to allow the student to apply practical experience to material learned in Emergency Medical Technician. Laboratory practice includes emergency procedures for life-threatening disease, accident, or illness and is closely supervised to foster confidence in the student’s abilities to apply theory in a laboratory setting. Techniques for patient assessment, evaluation and treatment are practiced in an assessment-based format in a laboratory setting.
