Digital Art and Media B.A.S.

The Bachelor of Applied Science in Digital Art and Media program equips students with advanced skills and creative expertise for careers in the rowing fields of digital design, visual communication, animation, and game design. The curriculum emphasizes upper-level courses in digital design, imaging, photography, video production, 3D animation, and motion graphics, preparing students for the dynamic demands of the digital arts industry.

Program prerequisites will include an Associate in Arts (AA) or Associate in Science (AS) in Visual Art degree. Once admitted, AA students will complete 18 credit hours of required lower division program core courses. AS students will complete 18 credit hours of lower-division general education coursework. All students will complete an additional 42 credit hours of upper-division courses for a total degree length of 120 semester hours.

Lower-Level Specialized Courses (42 Credit Hours)


Required Lower-Level Courses (18 Credit Hours)


These 18 credit hours are included within the 36 credit hours of general education or within the 42 credit hours of the lower-level specialized courses.

Additional Lower-Level Courses


These are articulated credit hours from the AA Degree or the AS degree in Visual Art.

Upper-Level Courses (42 Credit Hours)


Students must complete all 27 credit hours of upper-level core courses and 15 credit hours of upper-level elective courses.

Required Total Credit Hours: 120
