RTE 1000C - Introduction to Patient Care in Radiologic Science

The content of this course will introduce the student to the history of radiography, the health care system, and will emphasize safety and patient health care needs. Specific topics addressed include workplace safety, patient transfer, the healthcare delivery system, professional role, behaviors, attitudes and communication, legal considerations, infection control, surgical asepsis, patient assessment, medication and medication administration (including venipuncture), emergency response, and response to patient needs.
