CET 1178C - Computer Hardware Support Essentials

Prerequisite or Corequisite: CGS 1060, CGS 1060 with a grade of “C” or higher.

This course provides the student with the knowledge needed to support users of personal computers in an organization. It focuses on the hardware dimension. Students are taught the skills needed to service, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair computer hardware and peripherals. Lab work includes hands on disassembly, diagnosis and repair, and reassembly of personal computers. This course prepares the student for the CompTIA A+ hardware certification.
