CET 1600C - Network Fundamentals Credits: 3
Prerequisites: CNT 1001 with a grade of “C” or higher. This course provides an introduction to networking and data communications technology as it is applied to problems in the business world. Subjects covered include communication theory, the role of standards, terminal-host communication, Local Area Network (LAN) technologies, Wide Area Networks (WAN), Network Management, Intranets, and the Internet as well as applications such as e-mail and groupware. This course is the first in a three-course sequence designed to prepare students for the Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.
