EPI 0011 - Foundations of Research - Based Practices in Read II

Prerequisites: EPI 0010
This course provides diagnostic and instructional interventions in Reading through formal and informal methods and materials used to identify reading strengths and weaknesses of students. Emphasis is placed on diagnosis of reading problems, administration of assessments, evaluation of results, and planning instructional interventions to remediate reading deficiencies in phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. This instruction is grounded in scientifically-based research.
