HIM 1442 - Pharmacology for Health Professionals

Prerequisites: HSC 1531 , BSC 2085 , and BSC 2085L  with grades of “C” or higher.
This course provides an introduction to the principles of pharmacology, including drug terminology, drug origins, forms, and actions; routes of administration; as well as the use of generic name drug, trade name drugs, and categories of drugs to treat various body systems. Indications and contraindications associated with drug therapy and related disease processes are described.
